Nvidia has taken a minority stake in Cloverleaf Infrastructure, a company that works with utilities, energy providers and investors to secure power and infrastructure for large data-center developments.

Announced August 21, 2026, the partnership is intended to accelerate development of AI infrastructure across the United States. Cloverleaf says it has delivered multiple gigawatt-scale projects since its founding in 2024, while Nvidia will work with the company on infrastructure planning that brings power, cooling, computing and facility decisions together earlier in the development process.

For commercial real estate developers and business investors, the deal underscores how power availability, utility coordination and shovel-ready land are becoming critical components of data-center site selection.

Cloverleaf will use Nvidia’s DSX platform to evaluate infrastructure requirements and help customers make decisions within available power, water and grid constraints. Although the companies did not disclose the value of Nvidia’s investment, earlier reporting indicated it could involve several hundred million dollars. The broader takeaway for investors is that AI infrastructure development increasingly begins well before buildings are constructed, with access to power and appropriately prepared land playing a central role in determining where major technology projects can move forward.
